Mango shake

There is no one who don’t know about mangoes, In fact mangoes are one of the reason to love summer for everyone. Mangoes have different species.

Mango also beneficial sides like it reduces cholesterol , promote health, promote eye health even diabetics could also enjoy it.

Mangoes are widely used in cuisine. Sour and unripe mangoes are used in chutney and pickles and many more.

Here I am presenting a sweet mango drink Mango shake i.e usually loved by every one.

Ingredients:

  • Mangoes – 1 cup (chopped)
  • Sugar – 3 tablespoons
  • Milk – 250 ml
  • Vanilla Ice cream – 2 scoop (optional)

Method

  • Add all ingredients in a mixer jar and blend it for 1-2 min
  • Serve it chilled for best.

Fried Idli

Idli is a type of savoury rice cake popular can for breakfast in South India. There are so many variation in Idli like Button Idli, rava Idli , sambhar Idli etc.

Idli has been served hot with condiments such as sambhar or chutney . It preferred usually for breakfast and dinner.

Here I am adding some twist to make it for snacks by frying it with spices.

Ingredients

  • Idli – 5-6 chopped
  • Cumin seeds – ½ teaspoon
  • Mustard seeds – ½teaspoon
  • Handful of curry leaves
  • Oil – 2 tablespoons
  • Turmeric powder- ½ teaspoon
  • Sambhar masala – 1 tablespoon
  • Dry mango powder – ½ teaspoon
  • Red chilli powder – ½teaspoon

Method

  • First cut Idlis into small piece
  • Heat oil into pan and add cumin seeds & Mustard seeds and roast it for 30 second.
  • Add curry leaves in it & saute it.
  • Add chopped Idlis and mix it .
  • When it turns golden brown.
  • Add Turmeric powder , sambhar masala, Dry mango powder and Red chilli powder and it.

Serve it with tea as evening snacks.

Aam Panna /Aam Jhora

Aam Panna is an Indian drink known for its heat-resistant properties. It is made from raw mangoes and is yellow to very light green in colour and is consumed to fight against the intense Indian summer heat .Raw mangoes of Aam Panna quenches thirst and prevents the excessive loss of sodium chloride and iron during summer due to excessive sweating.This drink is mainly consumed in North India considered beneficial. It is also good source of vitamin B1 and B2, and vitamin C.So let’s make Aam PannaIngredients:

  • Raw mangoes – 2-3
  • Fennel seeds – 1 teaspoon (optional)
  • Cumin seeds – ½teaspoon
  • Cardamom – 4-5
  • Black peppercorns – 5-6
  • Handful of mint leaves
  • Sugar – ¼ cup
  • Salt – ½ teaspoon
  • Black salt – ½ teaspoon
  • Ice cubes

Methods:

  • Soak fennel seeds in water for 10-15 min.(If you are using fennel seeds)
  • Boil mangoes in 2 cup of water and wait for 4-5 whistle.
  • After Boiling let the mangoes cooldown and then peel it off.
  • Remove pulp from mangoes.
  • Now roast cumin seeds, cardamom, black peppercorns for a minute .
  • Add roasted spices, mango pulp, mint leaves , fennel seeds , sugar , salt and black salt in a blender jar and give a nice blend.
  • Now add 2-3 tablespoon of mixture in a glass and add ice cubes and water and give a stir .

Samosa

Samosa is traditional Indian recipe . Everyone loves samosa. It’s an amazing teatime snacks. So let’s see how to make samosa.

Ingredients:

  1. Refined flour -1 cup
  2. Boiled potatoes- 4-5
  3. Oil for fry samosa
  4. Carom seeds – 1 teaspoon
  5. Peanuts – roasted
  6. Coriander powder – 1 teaspoon
  7. Coriander leaves – finely chopped
  8. Turmeric powder -1 teaspoon
  9. Ginger paste – 1 teaspoon
  10. Green chilli – finely chopped
  11. Cumin seeds – 1/2 teaspoon
  12. Red chilli powder – 1/2 teaspoon
  13. Black pepper – 1 teaspoon (crushed)
  14. Aesofotida – a pinch
  15. Salt – as per taste

Method for stuffing

  • Mash potatoes.
  • Heat oil in a pan.
  • Add aesofotida, cumin seeds , green chilli and Ginger paste.
  • Saute it.
  • Add turmeric powder, coriander powder, red chilli powder, and black pepper and saute for 1 min
  • Now add mashed potatoes and mix it
  • Add salt , peanuts and coriander leaves and mix it well for 2 min on high flame.
  • Stuffing is ready keep it aside

Method of dough

  • Take refined flour in a mixing bowl.
  • Add carom seeds, salt and 2 tablespoon of oil and mix it.
  • Now add water gradually and make a tough dough.
  • Keep it for 30 min.

Method of Final process

  • Take a small ball size dough and roll it out with rolling pin in oval shape.
  • Cut it horizontal from middle .
  • Make cone from one part and stuff and close it.
  • Heat oil in a pan fry samosa on low- medium flame.

Samosa are ready to serve . Serve it hot with tomato ketchup.

Tomato upma

Ingredients:

  • Semolina – 1 cup
  • Tomato – 1/2 cup (chopped)
  • Mustard seed – 1 tablespoon
  • Oil – 1 tablespoon
  • Curry leaves
  • Water – 3 cup
  • Red chilli powder – 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt
  • Sugar – 1/4 teaspoon
  • Clarified butter – 1 tablespoon

MethodDry Roast semolina until it becomes aromatic.Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seed and Curry leaves.Add chopped tomatoes and cook it until it becomes soft.Now add 3cups of water in that.Add spices i.e. red chilli powder, salt and sugar .Add 1 tablespoon of ghee(clarified butter) and wait for a boil.After boil add semolina gradually and cook it for 2 min.Serve it hot .Video recipe link – https://youtu.be/CuTcHS6euZ4Thank you for watchingLike share and follow

Corn flakes chocolate milkshake

Ingredients:

  • Corn flakes – 1/2 cup
  • Cocoa powder- 1-2teaspoon
  • Milk – 1 cup
  • Sugar – 2-3 tablespoons
  • Vanilla essence – 2-3 drops
  • Ice cubes (optional)

Method:

  • Take a blender jar.
  • Add all ingredients and blend it smoothly.
  • Serve it in the glass.

Sandwich dhokla

Ingredients:

  • Gram flour – 1cup
  • Semolina – 2 tablespoons
  • Curd – 1cup
  • Green chutney – 2-3 tablespoons
  • Water – as required
  • Sugar – A pinch
  • Turmeric powder – 1teaspoon
  • Carom seeds – 1/4 teaspoon
  • Oil – 1spoon
  • Eno (unflavoured ) – 1 teaspoon
  • Coriander leaves – 2 tablespoons
  • Lemon juice – 1 teaspoon
  • Salt to taste

Method:

  • Add gram flour in a mixing bowl and then add curd to it and mix
  • Add water to maintain consistency.
  • Add semolina and mix it
  • Now add coriander leaves , oil, Turmeric powder,sugar, salt and lemon juice and mix it well
  • Keep it covered for 20 min.
  • Add water to a pressure cooker or dhokla cooker and cover it for 5 min on low flame.
  • Then add eno and mix it
  • Grease the dhokla stand and add half of the batter.
  • Cook it for 5 min .
  • Then spread a layer of Chutney on that and then the remaining batter and cook it on medium flame for 10 min.
  • Don’t over cook.
  • Take the dhokla out cut it into shapes.
  • Now heat oil to a tadka pan add mustard seed and Curry leaves .
  • Spread it on dhokla .

Now sandwich dhokla is ready to serve .

Mixed fruit smoothie

Ingredients:

  • Chopped fresh fruit of choice like apple, banana, orange ,pomegranate, strawberry, kiwi
  • Honey /sugar – 2-3 tablespoons
  • Plain / Greek yogurt – 2 -3 tablespoons
  • Milk – 1 cup
  • Vanilla essence – 1/2 teaspoon
  • Ice cubes (optional)

Method:

  • Take a blender jar
  • Add chopped fresh fruit , sugar/honey, milk ,yogurt,vanilla essence and ice cubes.
  • Blend it smoothly.

Serve it in a glass immediately or keep it in refrigerator to cool.

Palak Chutney

Ingredients:

  • Palak – 250g
  • Cumin seeds – 1/2 teaspoon
  • Ginger – 1 inch
  • Green Chilli – 2
  • Oil – 1 teaspoon
  • Salt – as per taste

Method:

  • Heat oil in a pan .
  • Add cumin seeds , ginger and green chilli and saute .
  • Now add fresh Palak and saute
  • Take a blender and add the Palak mixture and salt and blend it smoothly

Palak Chutney is ready to serve .

Suji Snacks (Semolina Snacks)

Ingredients:

  • Semolina – 1cup
  • Oil – For deep fry
  • Red chilli powder – 1/2 teaspoon
  • Kasuri methi – 1 tablespoon
  • Pepper powder – 1/2 teaspoon
  • Chaat Masala- 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt – as per taste
  • Wheat flour – 1-2 tablespoons(optional)
  • Fork

Method:

  • Combine semolina, red chilli powder, kasuri methi , pepper powder, chhat masala, 2 tablespoons oil and salt together in a mixing bowl with the help of water.
  • If you are getting difficulties in combining semolina alone then add 2 tablespoons of wheat flour.
  • Make a dough and keep it aside for 20 min.
  • After 20 min take a fork and small quantity of dough and spread it on backside of fork and then roll it to give shape
  • Now deep fry it on medium flame .
  • Store in a container and serve it with tea .
